
The Kwara State Government has expressed its satisfaction with the recently finished Jebba Water Works project located in Moro Local Government Area.
Hon. Usman Yunusa Lade, the State Commissioner for Water Resources, expressed this sentiment during his on-site inspection of the project.
This initiative, driven by the people-oriented Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, was initiated in response to the community’s needs.
After a comprehensive tour of the entire facility, Commissioner Lade commended the contractor for delivering a commendable job on the completed project.
Honorable Lade also visited the Palace of Oba Jebba, His Royal Highness, Oba (Alhaji) Abdulkadir Alabi Adebara, and informed him that the Water Works project would soon be handed over to the state government for commissioning.
Lade sought the Oba’s support and cooperation in safeguarding the project when it is handed over to the community for use.
In response, His Royal Highness, Oba of Jebba, Alhaji Abdulkadir Alabi Adebara, expressed gratitude to the state government for providing a water supply solution for his people.
Oba Adebara described the project as a long-held aspiration of his community, which previous administrations failed to accomplish but has now been completed by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in record time.
He mentioned that they have been enjoying clean water for several months now, as the contractor has been testing the facility since its completion.
Additionally, the representative of the project contractor, Engineer Samuel Nebechukwu, explained the facility’s operational stages to Commissioner Lade and his team.
Mr. Abdulkareem Yusuf Abdulmale, President of Jebba Descendant Union, expressed gratitude to the state government for providing them with clean drinking water and praised Governor Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his outstanding efforts.
Accompanying the Commissioner were Mrs. Asonibare Omolola Christiana, Permanent Secretary; Engr. Wopa Yusuf, Director of Water Engineering Services; Engr. Dotun Abioye; Engr. Mohammed Mustapha; and Engr. Adeyemo Tajudeen.
