Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has given his nod to the promotions and step upgrades of 436 members of the KW-IRS workforce.
This recognition stems from their invaluable contributions to revenue mobilization and an exceptional achievement of N35.4 billion, surpassing the state’s 2022 IGR budget by 112%, a substantial improvement from the 95.5% achieved in 2021.
In this promotion round, 248 staff members, including 50 in senior roles and 198 in junior positions, received promotions, while 188 staff members were granted step upgrades. This initiative builds upon the 2021 staff appraisal, which saw 332 promotions and 235 step upgrades within KW-IRS.
KW-IRS remains steadfast in its commitment to staff welfare, emphasizing best practices. It will intensify engagements with taxpayers and stakeholders, continue to plug revenue leaks through new initiatives, and employ modern technology to achieve the 2023 IGR target.
The service vows to provide a conducive work environment, invest in staff training, enhance service delivery, and prioritize the well-being of its workforce to boost revenue generation for the state.
