Senator Iyiola Omisore, National Secretary of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has been shut out of the emergency National Working Committee (NWC) of the ruling party.
According to a report by DailyTrust, the embattled politician was locked out of the venue of the emergency meeting after news of his resignation went viral.
The meeting is ongoing at the National Secretariat of the ruling party in Abuja.
Omisore who was among the early callers at the meeting left the party secretariat without speaking with the media.
Recall it was reported in the early hours of today that the APC national chairman, Abdullahi Adamu and the secretary, Omisore had resigned from their positions.
While Adamu was missing at the NWC meeting, Omisore arrived at the APC national secretariat at about 11 AM this morning.
The meeting is the first since the reported resignation of Senator Abdullahi Adamu as national chairman of the party.
While the resignation has not been confirmed yet, Adamu had told newsmen that he would wait for the return of President Tinubu before making any comments on the development.
