The senator representing Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has appealed to the Kano state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, to soften on the government’s actions against Emir Muhammadu Sanusi.

Sani urged the governor to realize that power is only temporary and ends in vanity. The state government had, on Thursday, June 6, issued the emir a query asking him to respond to the issues raised within 24 hours.

The query had to do with the allegations leveled against the emir by an anti-corruption agency of Kano state.

Emir Sanusi was reportedly given 24 hours to respond to the issues raised in the query which includes allegations of misappropriation of funds.

In his reaction, Sani said: “Power is temporary and it’s vanity; I appeal to Kano governor to reconsider and rescind the widely reported impending actions against Emir Sanusi Lamido."
