Former Liverpool and Real Madrid star, Michael Owen has predicted the outcome of the Europa League semi-final second leg clash between Chelsea and Frankfurt at Stamford Bridge tonight.

Owen said he expects Maurizio Sarri’s men to beat the Bundesliga side and qualify for the final in Azerbaijan later in the month.

Chelsea head to the game following a 1-1 draw with Frankfurt in the first leg encounter last week in Germany.

“Chelsea warmed up for the visit of Frankfurt with a comfortable 3-0 success over Watford on Sunday, a win that confirmed they will be playing Champions League football next term,” Owen told BetVictor.

“The Blues have never lost a home game against German opposition in European competition (D2 W7) although it is significant that Frankfurt have scored in all six of their away games in the competition so far this season. They may well find the back of the net again at the Bridge, but I feel it will be Chelsea who make the Final in Azerbaijan later in the month.”

The kick-off time for the match is 8pm.
